Special Delivery
"Special Delivery" was made especially for Sarah Ann Smith.
With love from Mommy and Daddy, January 15, 2002.
On a very special day, in a very special place, a very special thing happened
in the lives of Jeannette and Bob. Do you know what it was?
A very special little girl named Sarah Ann Smith
was born. Everyone at St. Peters Hospital was very excited.
The whole town of Springfield couldn't wait to see the new
arrival.
Topper Turtle gathered everyone together to declare January 15, 2002
to be a very special birthday for Sarah. A birthday that should
be celebrated on the same date every year!
Stilty Stork assisted Dr. Bradford in delivering Sarah
into the world at 8:21 p.m.
Squeaky Squirrel and Bouncer the Bunny weighed and measured little Sarah
who was 8 pounds, 6 ounces and 16 inches long
at birth.
Mommy and Daddy were very proud because everyone said that Sarah
was the cutest baby in the whole world.
Mommy and Daddy wanted to have a baby exactly like Sarah.
Their very special delivery had made this one of the happiest days of their
lives.
In fact, Sarah seemed to make everyone smile. Even gruff old
Grumbly Gopher had to chuckle when Sarah made cute little baby
noises.
Soon the news of the birth of Sarah spread far and wide. It
seemed everyone in Springfield heard about Sarah's
arrival. When Mrs. Church Mouse heard the news, she got so excited hat she fell
off her chair and spilled her tea!
Everyone had been anxiously awaiting the birth of Sarah. Grandma
and Grandpa Smith. Uncle Dave and Aunt Judy came to
see her and share in the excitement. Everyone was amazed at everything Sarah
did.
Grandma and Grandpa Smith, Uncle Dave and Aunt Judy
smiled and laughed when Sarah showed how she could actually
hold on to a big person's finger. She even grabbed Dr. Bradford's
pencil.
Before long, it was time to go home from the hospital. Jeannette and
Bob said goodbye to everyone who had helped them in St. Peters
Hospital. They bundled up Sarah for her first trip
into the outside world.
Everything was new for Sarah. She got to see houses and trees
for the very first time. The world was a very interesting place.
At home, there was a very special room that had been prepared for Sarah
Ann Smith. There was her crib filled with cute, fluffy toys. And there
were many other toys that filled the room.
Mommy enjoyed holding Sarah and cuddling her. She talked to
her in a sweet and loving voice. Sometimes she sang little songs as she rocked
Sarah back and forth.
Mommy and Daddy took Sarah everywhere they went. They were
very proud of Sarah and they wanted the whole world to meet
their very special little girl.
Since her birth on January 15, 2002, Sarah Ann Smith
has made the world a much happier place. Sarah is truly a very
special little person.
